DC #202: Duotangle Copada - Chebucto

This weeks Diva Challenge is al about 2 tangles of Margret Bremner. A canadian CZT/artist. I am a great fan of Margret and admire her work. The tangles to use are Copada and Chebucto. Copada is a tangle I love because it has a lot of curvy lines to build the tangle. And I love curvy en swirly lines. Chebucto is rather straight and so not my favorite in this challenge. But what happened when I my pen touches the paper. Of course I started with Copada, but after 1 row of copied chebucto took over my pen, and the rest of my ZIA is filled with Chebucto. I did the ZIA in my Grey toned Strathmore Sketch book. I love that paper. I had a lot of fun with Copada and Chebucto this evening. And I have to admit I love Chebucto...

How to draw Moebius logo/string

With pencil, very lightly drawn:
1. Draw two parallel lines
2. Draw next 2 parallel lines as if you are starting two triangles realy close togethter, slightly overlapping.
3. Enlarge the two lines in the middle, you now have 3 shapes of unfished triangles.
4. Finish the triangle shapes

Now take your micron (or other ink pen)

5. Aura inside the shapes
6. Aura around the shape, and make the triangle points rather round
7. Draw the completed shape, by connecting the lines in the center part. Think of celtic knot drawing with the over under principle
8. Finish the corners by making the ribbon look

Ta DA finished is your moebius logo shape/string....

DC#201 Moebius syndrome awarnes day

Saturday januari the 24th it is Moebius Syndrome Awarness day, and of course the challenge from our Diva is about this day, as honor to Artoo and all the children who have this syndrome.
The challenge is all about the logo of Moebius Syndrome and the color purple. I decided to do the challenge in my one tangle a day calendar, and of course it had to be done on the 24th of januari. I did the logo, and tangled around with my black and purple microns. Some shading with my Derwent Inktens pencils. I hope you like it.
I want to thank you for your visit, and appreciate your comment.

DC 200 Bi-zen-tennial celebration

A celebration this week. It is the 200th challenge of our Diva. I didn't participate in all of them, because I only discovered Zentangle in August 2012, but I did a lot of them.
The challenge is to use a mono tangle of your go-to tangle without a frame from side to side and put somewhere the number 200. Well I don't have one go-to tangle, but it differs from time to time. So I choose for this week Paradox, because I do love that tangle. Once I saw a drawing from someone (I don't know the name anymore) with paradox in different colors, and thats what I wanted to try. Lot of focus in this tile to choose the right color all the time for every line. I had a lot of fun making this tile....
Thanks for visiting my blog, and for taking time to comment. I appreciate it!

DC 199 : Hitched

Zo is mijn hitched tuintje ontstaan.

The first blogpost of 2015 had to be the one for the Diva Challenge. I haven't post anything for a while, but that doesn't mean I haven't done some drawing. Just didn't post it. This week Laura started her challenges again, so here is my contribution. I did 2 variations of hitched on my grey colored strathmore paper. Put Quandary aside. I love quadary on colored paper, because the white highlights you can make with the white glen. Some big flowers and ready is my hitched garden.

I decided to number all my drawings this year, so I can see how many drawings I finish in 2015. Together with my initials I put a number and 15 (year 2015). So this one is # 4 of this year.
