DC 186: Leaf String

Een string uitddaging. Altijd leuk.

A String challenge is always fun. Because it is almost Autumn and then the leaves will fall down, the challenge is to use a leaf as a string. One could choose: draw a leaf by hand, trace an existing leaf, or use tangle with leaf shapes. So lots of possibilities to do the challenge. I wanted to draw a leaf myself, so I looked it up in my e-book of Cherryl Moote : The Tropical Tangled Garden. A lovely book about drawing leaves, basic flower shapes and ferns etc.  I took a leaf and draw it diagonally on my tile. As soon as I drew it I saw perfect possibility to do Rick's Paradox. A wonderful tangle. After finishing my leaf, I did 2 other leaves in the back, filled with Finery, and in the background Tipple.  After finishing drawing I thought it looked a bit (I mean a lot)  busy. Normally I start shading to solve that problem, but this tile just shouted for some color, so I did with my inktense derwent pencils. I love to use them because the colors are so intense.
Thanks for visiting my blog, and taking time to comment. I hope you all have a lot of fun (just like I did) with this challenge.
