DC 142: Comfort versus Danger

What a challenge this week. Make a tile and step into your danger zone. Very difficult to me. What should I do? So the idea came into my mind to do a double page in my CZT notebook. One page done with my comfort zone, and one with the danger zone. I started by making the statements of what I like and what I don't like to do when I am drawing and playing with tangle patterns, so the strings I made where based on these thoughts.
Then I started to fill the spaces, and I have to admit I did one space in my comfort zone and one in my danger zone. So I had a lot of fun, by doing this and I got a good balance between comfort and danger,  and  by doing that the danger zone wasn't so dangerous anymore. Great to do it like this and making a nice compromis between both zones. The pictures are not very good, because I took them with my phone, in the evening, so...

  5. Your danger zone tile is SO GREAT! Really, you have drawn the tangles very well, & there is depth of field, & the addition of color really makes it very interesting! (Also, you started with a string that looks just like a "K" so perhaps I'm partial to it...)

  7. Nice way to address this challenge. Many times we can make a change in what we see as uncomfortable through exposure.

  11. I have no way to reply back, so am adding it here...I have done something that I can't respond to comments on my blog, and being "challenged" some what on the details, can not figure out how to change that back. I want to Thank You! so Very Much! for your comment about my piece this week! It truly came at one of those bottom out moments, that one thinks, Why am I doing this anymore? ( not the Zentangles, but the job.) You so totally made my day, and beyond. I am so honored to think that I could be in that category. My deepest thanks!

  16. Both of your tiles are really great and ditto on what everyone else says, too! Your approach was quite strategic for someone who prefers organic. Brilliant combination!
